Allison Rose doesn’t just write songs—she opens windows into the soul. With a voice like weathered silk and lyrics that cut straight to the heart, Allison crafts what she lovingly calls “pretty songs that make people cry.” And she’s not wrong. Her music is delicate yet unflinching, balancing vulnerability and strength in a way that feels deeply personal and universally resonant.
A Rhode Island-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist (piano, guitar, ukulele), Allison has been quietly making big waves. A finalist in several respected songwriting competitions, she’s performed on stages near and far—from local gems to renowned venues like Rockwood Music Hall, The MET, Huntington Folk Festival, and Tucson Folk Festival. Her performances are intimate, raw, and unforgettable, often leaving audience members in tears—not from sadness, but from the cathartic relief of being seen, heard, and moved.
Currently working on a new full-length album, Allison continues to distill everyday moments and emotional truths into song. For her, success isn’t about charts or streaming stats—it’s about connection. As she says, “Nothing feels more successful than when I’m approached by an audience member after a show with, ‘I loved [insert song title here]—it made me cry because [insert personal connection here].’”
Offstage, Allison is a licensed mental health counselor, a photographer, a proud mom of two wild and wonderful kids, and a fierce lover of the ocean—and yes, the f-word. She kickboxes. She builds community. She believes in the healing power of music, and it shows in every line she sings.
Equal parts grace and grit, Allison Rose is a storyteller for the tender-hearted and the tough-spirited. If you’ve ever needed a song to remind you you’re not alone, she’s probably already written it.
