Man Made Hills is the project of songwriter James Carrancio, who recently relocated from Brooklyn, NY to Rhode Island. His latest album, A Sad Good Ol’ Time (July 2024), takes listeners on a soulful journey through grief and healing. Written in the six weeks following the passing of his mother, the record blends heartfelt storytelling, warm vocals, and dynamic instrumentation to explore love, loss, and resilience. With a balance of raw intimacy and emotional depth, Man Made Hills invites listeners to find beauty and strength in life’s most difficult moments.

Sinnet is the indie rock project of Boston-based songwriter Aaron Spransy. What started as a solo experiment after his move from Milwaukee quickly grew into a rotating cast of collaborators and a distinctive sound that blends indie rock with touches of soul, surf, pop, and psychedelia. Drawing inspiration from artists like Paul Simon, Spoon, and Elliott Smith, Sinnet’s songs are sharp, melodic, and rich with emotional undercurrents.

Named after his late mother's tennis-themed license plate, Sinnet is as personal as it is playful. The band has released several albums and EPs—including Midwest Manners and Island Town—and has played across the East Coast and Midwest. Along the way, they’ve earned praise from the Boston Phoenix, performed at Converse's Rubber Tracks, and shared bills with artists like Tim Kasher and Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin

Hot Franks is a rollicking countrified band delivering memorable Americana originals and a diverse array of cover songs ranging from Patsy Cline to the Ramones. Sure to break your heart with a tear-jerking ballad one minute, then scorch the ground beneath your feet the next. Their marriage of old country, rockabilly, 1960s girl-groups, with a pinch of punk rock yields something old, new, borrowed, and blue.
