Formed nearly a decade ago in the vibrant Allston-Brighton DIY music scene, Salty Greyhound is a four-piece indie alternative rock band that has become a staple in local music venues and beyond. As they gear up for the release of a new EP, Salty Greyhound connects with their audiences through immersive experiences featuring an eclectic blend of artsy and experimental vibes. With a penchant for pushing creative boundaries, they offer a unique and ever-evolving showcase of music of which has garnered a dedicated following from fans. 

Jo Celine  is the indie-rock vision of singer-songwriter Josie Flaherty, anchored by Stephen Chevalier’s driving drums and Dom Laflamme-DaCosta’s winding bass. Their self-titled project navigates the tension between beauty and brutality, weaving indie twang riffs and raw honesty into every song. Ethereal vocals soar over gritty guitars, while melodic bass lines and pounding drums guide you through pleasure, pain, and the quiet moments of healing that follow.

Meridian pairs tenderly observed and blushingly candid lyrics with thoughtfully crafted indie rock grooves. Their songs are intimate excavations of the mundane–of stained couches, fried eggs, trips to Pennsylvania–which have made the elderly gasp and the heartbroken chuckle. Meridian was the winner of Motif Magazine’s 2023 Battle of the Bands; they released their debut album this past fall.
