Jason Anderson / Kate Mick

  • Myrtle 134 Waterman Avenue East Providence, RI, 02914 United States (map)

Jason Anderson is an award-winning indie folk artist based in Eastern Canada. Known for his resonant lyrics, anthemic melodies, and unforgettable live performances, his music captures both the profound and the everyday — a Polaroid, a poem, a portrait, a prayer. Anderson writes songs of hope and holding on, of loss and letting go — exploring our meaning, our meaninglessness, and everything in between. His work is personal, passionate, and poetic, crackling with life at every turn.

Kate Mick is a Rhode Island-based singer-songwriter who plays intimate, slightly sweet, and hauntingly evocative songs on her banjo. Inspired by a lifetime of eclectic influences—from obscure '70s rock to Fleetwood Mac, The Pixies, and '90s grunge—Kate writes music that feels both familiar and entirely her own. Always up for an adventure, Kate happily plays house shows, ghost shows, quiet shows, and loud ones too. Just ask—she’s ready with her banjo in hand. She’s been compared to artists like Cat Power, Sharon Van Etten, Hurray for the Riff Raff, and First Aid Kit. In addition to her original work, she also performs covers by Wilco, David Bowie, Daniel Johnston, and more.
