Forest Beutel / Sleeping Turtle / Dave Flamand / Bird & Augur

  • Myrtle 134 Waterman Avenue East Providence, RI, 02914 United States (map)

Slinging banjo, guitar, and harmonica, Forest Beutel builds a twangy upbeat atmosphere that engages a crowd and gets folks on their feet. A modern day ramblin’ man, Beutel's voice blends the high lonesome sounds of Hank Williams and Townes Van Zandt with gruff baritone vibrations akin to Tom Waits and Johnny Cash. He is a regional favorite as the front-man of several Washington bluegrass bands including Anderson Lake Swamp Thing and the Rusty Cleavers. Forest’s performances and three solo albums leave listeners awestruck at the meeting of dynamic lyricism and raw musicianship.

Sleeping Turtle is a multi-instrumentalist who specializes in Psychedelic Flute Music. Mixing the Native American Flute with trance-inducing effects to spread sonic medicine with three-dimensional immersion; like painting with sound.

Bird & Augur is a Rhode Island–based anticapitalist folk duo inspired by the traditions of solidarity and resistance that shape labor songs, protest anthems, and global folk music. With rich harmonies, intricate fingerpicking, and heartfelt storytelling, Bo Fage (they/them, guitar) and James Cappelletti (he/him, banjo) lend their voices to an ongoing reckoning with systems of violence and control. Their music invites listeners to build community, and to attend to the signs, the stories, and the unfolding future that still responds to care and intention.

Dave Flamand is a Rhode Island–based musician, songwriter, and organizer best known as the vocalist and guitarist of alt-rock trio Analog. Drawing from over a decade of songwriting, his work blends raw, live-driven energy with a deep appreciation for analog recording techniques, showcased on the band’s debut album 8 Track. Beyond performing, Flamand plays a key role in the local music scene as a driving force behind Bliss RI, helping curate community-focused events that highlight emerging and established artists alike.
